Love it or hate it it’s Fall again and that means everything’s coming up pumpkins! I happen to love it, especially when we have these beautiful crisp, sunny days here in Seattle. It’s also the time of year when I want to spend more time in the kitchen and add pumpkin spice to almost everything. But instead of giving in to the nasty super sugary options on offer, I use this super nutritious gourd in healthy versions of fall favorites like my Guilt-Free Pumpkin Spice Latte, and Grain-Free Pumpkin Breakfast Muffins. I was craving pumpkin at breakfast the other day so I whipped up this yummy pumpkin smoothie and it hit the spot. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

  • 1/4 cup Vegan Protein Powder, Vanilla

  • 1 tsp Maca Powder (organic, raw)

  • 1/2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice (use more or less to taste)

  • 1/2 cup Pureed Organic Pumpkin (chilled in fridge)

  • 2 Tbsp Hemp Seeds/Hearts

  • 1/2 Banana (frozen)

  • Ice (optional)

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a blender in the order listed and blend very well until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
