Sesame Teriyaki Broccolini

This is a simple but delicious dish that is quick, easy and beautiful. This is a great side dish with any Asian inspired main course, and pairs nicely with sake, an off dry sauvignon blanc, or a dry riesling.

Ingredients

For the sauce:

  • 4 Tbsp Organic Tamari

  • 2 Tbsp Raw Honey

  • 1 Tbsp Fish Sauce

  • 2 tsp Ginger, freshly grated

  • 2 Garlic Cloves, finely minced or crushed

  • 2 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil

For the Broccolini:

  • 1 Tbsp Avocado or Coconut Oil

  • 1 Bunch Organic Broccolini

  • 2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds, toasted

  • Sea Salt to taste

  • Chili Oil / Chili Flakes (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Add all sauce ingredients to a small saucepan.

  2. Stir well and cook over medium heat until sauce is thickened.

  3. Remove from heat, stir in sesame oil and set aside.

  4. Heat avocado or coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  5. Add broccolini and cook for 5-7 minutes rotating at least once until it turns vibrant green and is fork tender, but still crunchy.

  6. Place broccolini on a serving dish, give the teriyaki sauce a stir, and drizzle it over the broccolini. You can also add the optional chili oil or flakes.

  7. Sprinkle generously with sesame seeds and serve.

Enjoy!
