Holiday Gift Guide 2022

Happy Holidays Friend!

It’s that time of year again and I’ve curated another list of wellness-inspired gift ideas to help streamline your holiday gifting.

This year I’m featuring items that are meant to last a lifetime; So while I’ve included several options at more affordable price points, I focused on quality investment pieces that are good for both you and the planet. At the time of publishing (Nov. 22), several of these brands are offering black Friday deals, making these gifts even more appealing.

Happy shopping! I hope you and your loved ones have a very happy, healthy, and safe holiday.

And P.S., I am not affiliated with any of these products, and do not receive commission or incentive to promote them.

Kari Gran Skincare is another one of my favorites that you’re sure to see year after year. Her new Vitamin C Serum made my list this year because it is the only C serum I have ever tried that doesn’t irritate my skin. This concentrated, 10% vitamin c oil feels silky soft, not greasy, and it helps to evens skin tone, brighten, and fight free-radical damage. The serum is available on it’s own or in the Glow Getter set with the Essential Tinted SPF.

Almost every year I include some of Anima Mundi Apothecary’s products because I adore them so much. This year I’m featuring the Happy Belly Kit which contains herbs that can help reduce bloating, improve digestion, increase nutrient absorption and support metabolic health.

Nut, seed and grain milks are a great option for those of us who can’t tolerate dairy or choose not to include it in our diets. But unfortunately, many plant-based milks are filled with inflammatory oils and thickening gums which are less than healthy. There are several great brands out there that do not use additives, but they are pricey, and if you use as much plant-based milk as we do in the Oliver household, this is a great investment. In just a few easy steps, you can make fresh nut milk at the push of a button. Eliminate carton waste, and unhealthy preservatives and additives commonly found in brand-name products and save the mess and hassle of using a blender.

MONNI Silks - from $240

The timeless pieces from this sustainable label New Zealand are a mixture of up-cycled designer ends, vintage reworked silk, and peace silk (also known as vegan silk). The kimonos are my favorite but the entire collection is investment worthy

Scented candles are a great go-to gift, but most of them contain toxic, endocrine disrupting chemicals in the fragrance, wax, and wick. These little beauties are made with 100% pure plant and flower oil scents, American-grown soy wax, and a unbleached cotton wick. They are free from paraffin, dyes, lead, phthalates, animal by-products, secret ingredients, or synthetic fragrances or fragrance additives.

This is one of my favorite gift picks and also the least expensive! I’m always looking for ways to make food prep more fun, and these dice do just that. Simply select the five primary dice, add a seasonal veggie die and roll. There are over 186,000 possible meal combinations to inspire creativity in the kitchen.

Non-toxic cookware can be elusive, especially when it comes to anything nonstick. In fact, non-toxic nonstick isn’t really a thing, so if you’re concerned about chemicals leeching into your food from your cookware, your only real options are medical grade stainless steel, cast iron, or these babies. They are about 40% lighter than cast iron and are microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. They will also never scratch or flake, so if properly cared for they can last for generations.

Yep, I’m sharing two cookware options because I just couldn’t resist this gorgeous cast iron cookware line. The fact that it’s non-toxic and will last a lifetime makes it an incredible gift for the cook in your life. And the beautiful design of these pieces is more than aesthetic - the sides make it easier to release food with a spatula, and each spout allows you to pour soups and stews without dripping. If you properly season your cast iron, you will have the best nonstick cookware you’ve ever used. Once I seasoned my cast iron pans I was astounded that they work so much better than my old nonstick cookware did (I use only ghee, tallow, avocado oil or coconut oil in mine).

Since their founding in 2013, Naadam has been committed to transparency, ethical practices, cultural preservation and environmental sustainability. They work directly with the Mongolian herder communities, so they are able to pay them substantially more and you pay less for the world's best cashmere. From hand combing to providing veterinary care, they promote ethical conditions for the animals behind their raw materials, and you know zi love that! This turtleneck tunic and their Essential $75 Sweater are on my own wish list this year.

The most common reason people don’t have home gyms is because of lack of space and equipment. Tempo has managed to solve both of those problems with this cleverly designed, space saving setup. Via your iPhone, the Tempo recognizes what weights you’re using, tracks your reps, and gives you real-time guidance on form. You can also view your class on your TV all while charging your phone. They also offer monthly payment options which makes the system more affordable than most health clubs, and you won’t have to waste gas or deal with that stinky grunting meathead at the gym ;-). The downside for me would be that the weights max out at 45lbs per dumbbell, so this setup is better suited for beginner to intermediate training levels.
